Description
“It is just wonderful. I have been playing it for nearly a whole day now, and it just has gotten better and better. The craftsmanship is beautiful, it plays easily and I really love the sound. It has a clear, articulate and full voice. I’m sorry to say for you, but I think I have found my dream guitar. I think this will be all I’ll ever need. I restrung it with D’Addario Pro-Arte, the regular nylon set, and I think they made it even better. Warmer and stronger. So, thank you for making this available and for selling it at such a fair price. It’s a piece of art, and I can’t speak highly enough about this.” JR
There is a steady move to replace non-sustainable and endangered scarce tropical hardwoods with native-European and sustainable species. The 56AF-N has a high quality, thermo-modified solid spruce soundboard sourced from Switzerland, solid maple back and sides, cherry neck reinforced with chequers wood, plum fingerboard and maple headstock veneers. The curved bridge is also plum.
Another significant feature of this guitar is the use of thermo-treated woods. Hanika is one of the pioneers among the leading luthiers of Europe to use this process. When used on the soundboard, the spruce has a new mellowness combined with its natural brightness; an extremely attractive combination! Carefully calibrated thermo-treatment is also applied to the maple, cherry, chequers wood and plum.
